Actual pay depends on your specialty, credentials, and project availability at the time you apply. These figures reflect current published rates as of mid-2026, shown as illustrative weekly ranges based on typical hours:

Pay varies significantly by platform. On Mercor, doctors typically earn around £100–£220 per hour, with specialty roles reaching as high as £320 per hour; most trainers work roughly 10–15 hours a week (a 10-hour minimum applies while a project is active), which translates to an illustrative weekly payout of about £1,200–£2,200. Ethos pays somewhat less per hour, around £90–£180, but allows up to 20 hours of work a week, though this volume isn't guaranteed — at full availability, that works out to roughly £1,800 a week. Outlier sits at the lower end of the range, paying about £28–£48 per hour for credentialed medical tasks, though its flexible schedule with no minimum hours can still bring in an illustrative £280–£720 a week depending on how much time you commit. Cactus is the least established of the four in terms of public rate data, so weekly earnings aren't yet well documented — doctors considering this platform should verify current rates directly during the application process.
